Marry the Night-Gaga described this song as marriage between Whitney Houston & Bruce Springsteen & I can totally hear it. This song has such an uplifting energy; I wrote a pretty decent song for the 1st time listening to this one. | Brown Eyes-Gaga has some really good (and sad) breakup songs. |
So Happy I Could Die-This song may seem superficial on the surface, but it actually has a pretty solemn undertone: hiding pain with sex and substances. "The Fame Monster" EP is better than "The Fame," IMO. Judas-I LOVE this joint; the track goes in so HARD! Interpreted by many as blasphemous, I think the song is simply about our inclination to choose wrong over right. The video was so creative; I love how she pulled various stories from the bible to illustrate one point. It was the first time I had an in-depth conversation with my mother about a music video. Summerboy-I love the 70's disco/80's feel. | Teeth-Following the dark path of "So Happy I Could I Die," a girl encourages a man to exploit her (as she knows he will ultimately) & she hopes to find eventually find safety in his arms. Black Jesus, Amen Fashion-Speaking of religious themes, this song sometimes makes me feel more "in the spirit" than some gospel music, as Gaga makes the connection between passion, individualism and Jesus. Scheibe-Fem anthem! |
