Dangerously in Love- The version on Destiny's Child's "Survivor" is so much better than the one on Bey's solo debut of the same name. This is probably the most impressive song Beyonce's ever written & she wrote it at 17. | Considering Beyonce` is my queen diva, I have many favorite songs of hers, but for this playlist I narrowed them down to those I find the most artistically strong in terms of delivery, lyrics and/or concept. Me, Myself & I-The live version from the "Beyonce` Experience Tour" is>>>>>> Resentment-Beyonce` has been accused of not evoking much emotion vocally, but this is evidence of otherwise. She sings with so much conviction, you could have 0 experience with infidelity & be curled up in a corner crying when you hear this. |
Still in Love (Kissing You)- delicate & incredibly romantic. I was so geeked when I heard she was going to cover the song & add lyrics l because I LOVE the original. My favorite song by my favorite singer. Disappear-I nearly cry every time I hear this with the vulnerable lyrics and tender tone. Save the Hero- This song is terribly underrated. With powerful, introspective lyrics about being a hero-less hero, Beyonce` could be revealing some true feelings. | “Trust in Me”- the characterization of Etta James is so perfect on this song. Beyonce` proves here that she can handle gritty, classic soul. Ring the Alarm-Everything about this track, from the rarely discussed concept to hip-hop inspired production, was different for Beyonce`, therefore making it a stand-out piece. 1+1-Some don't care for this song, but I find it to be passionate, poetic, romantic & sultry. |
