It's not even the 25th yet, and it's already getting to me. I find it interesting that over the past year, I've been able to listen to his music, look at his pictures, videos, etc, and now all of the sudden it's difficult. Fortunately enough, he has such a large fan base-there are millions of people to get support from that understand.

My first vivid memory of Michael Jackson was an 88’ Pepsi commercial where he was getting chased by press. It was broken up into different parts, and it was….just awesome. The premiere was practically an event in my house; we didn’t even care about the program that was on, we wanted to see that commercial! Lol I was only 7 and completely mesmerized. I thought MJ was a like a magical superhero, doing death-defying and magic trick like stuff to get away from the paparazzi. I thought he did that 4 real when he got chased! Lol He had me won over from day 1; I wanted him to be my friend. Lol Love u Michael.

my first memory of michael was the BAD album when i was 4 years old. lol i knew every song 'cause my mom played the album (on vinyl) on a regular basis and i was obsessed with the video for "Bad" too! for as long as i can remember though, most of the adults in my life played something from his catalog of music, from the jackson 5 era, all the way to the DANGEROUS album. i stayed trying to do the moonwalk too (lol)! but nobody can ever do it like him. he really was/IS magic...

My 1st clear, detailed memory of MJ was actually the “Thriller” video. No, I wasn’t alive when it 1st premiered, but I can explain that LOL. My mother taped a “behind the scenes” special on the video and sat me down to watch it. Till this day, it’s been the only time that my mother made me watch something and I ENJOYED it. I was afraid and scared looking at all the ghouls, but I was glued. Watching the makeup being done and the video being filmed was FASCINATING. I knew, even at a young age, that what I was watching was monumental. I loved the choreography, I loved how it was filmed, I loved everything. Michael Jackson was bigger, better and more unique than anything I had ever seen. To see that as a small child; I was hypnotized, in awe and in love. It blew my mind. To be honest, I don’t have words for how I felt. MJ was a musical superhero. The end. lol

I had the red jacket white glove Michael Jackson doll when I was a kid, and my best friend had the Thriller record (the B side didn't have the singing so you could sing along: 80s karaoke!) and her mom even made me a single white sequined glove, to show you how much I was into him at the time. :)
