Likes: Georgia Peaches, Tupelo, Like My Mother Does, I’m Not One of Them
Overall: Great vocals, too many underwhelming tracks
American Idol’s season 10 runner-up, Lauren Alaina, has finally released her debut album …and it’s kind of a disappointment. Alaina’s vocals are smooth, sweet and beautiful and majority of songs are well-written (mostly stories of youth and love), but the musical production is generally dull; there are minimal stand-out tracks. Hopefully, the next album will be more interesting.
