LOL!!! Ok, NOT really. Some friends of mine & I were being silly and started coming up with color names if Beyonce` were to come out with a Crayon set. What names can you come up with?
A precious baby bee ;) Here’s a guide for all you brand spanking new Beyonce` fans, otherwise known as “baby bees” :) 1. Hardcore Beyonce` fans are known as “bees.” This cute, pop-culture nickname is a derivative from Beyonce’s nickname, “Bey” or “Bee-Bee.” She used a honey bee as a symbol for her 2006 album, B’Day. 2. View this website: (http://knowyourbees.tumblr.com/) and take the quiz “What kind of bee are you?” it’s a great source of understanding of Beyonce` fan terminology and hierarchy. 3. Look into Beyonce’s discography. This is ESSENTIAL. A “bee” cannot attest to Beyonce’s growth or strength as an artist if you’re not familiar with her music. This includes the Destiny’s Child material, which Beyonce` was a key creative force in. If you can’t purchase prior albums or don’t have access to them, look up track-listings on Wikipedia and find some of the songs on YouTube. 4. Purchase “Soul Survivors,” the official, authorized biography of Destiny’s Child. So far, this is the only existing biography written by the ladies of Destiny’s Child. This book will help you learn about Beyonce’s background. Beyonce’s bio on Wikipedia has errors, so it’s best not to use that as a valid source; just browse it for information past 2002, since “Soul Survivors” ends around that period. 5. Get to know Beyonce further by watching older press interviews, performances and specials, like “MTV Diary”. 6. Make friends with other bees. For starters, join my facebook fan community “The Beehive” (click the photo above to visit the page). Also, chat in the forums on beyonceworld.net (the mother-ship of Beyonce` fan sites) and on Bey’s official page, Beyonceonline.com. Making friends isn’t a requirement, it’s just nice to have someone who shares your interest. 7. Need or want Beyonce gear? A great way to find inexpensive paraphernalia is to shop on EBay or Half.com. Between those 2 sites, you can find posters, magazines, buttons, clocks, tour items, clothes, etc. Be sure to read the site’s warnings and suggestions for smart and safe shopping. 8. You DO not have to buy every magazine or item, or see every performance to be a “real” fan. You do NOT have to dislike other artists, attack fans of other artists, or ONLY like Beyonce` to be a real fan. At minimum, know and enjoy the music. Also, it’s perfectly ok to CONSTRUTIVELY criticize Beyonce` every once in a while. Not everything she does is perfect. Hope this helps! Peace, Love & Bee’s Honey! Using clips from my favorite movies & Beyonce` moments, here's my fan-made video for "Schoolin' Life"- it's my favorite song on the deluxe edition of "4." Not only is it musically excellent, but it has a great message. We are all students in the class of life. We have the power to make our own grade. I hope you all enjoy it and I love all my fellow bees ;) *I do not own the footage or music used. No copyright infringement intended.* Here is a tribute video I made in commemoration of Beyonce's 30th birthday and to congratulate her on her pregnancy. I hope all of you bees enjoy it. Click the photo below the video to sign Beyonce's baby book that will be sent to the House of Dereon`. :) Here's the direct video link just in case there's an error: http://youtu.be/xMtxjQ72H_0 BEES! This is YOUR chance to share your excitement & love and personally congratulate Beyonce` on her pregnancy!! Comment on this blog post to leave your personal message for the King B. ALL of the messages will be compiled in a decorative notebook and sent to a source where Bey is likely to receive it (I was considering sending it to the Dereon chief offices if I cannot find Beyonce's new management contact information.) If you have any suggestions of where to send the book, hit the "Contact/Info" tab on this site and fill out the form. DO NOT leave your suggestion with your personal note. Please refrain from using explicit language in your personal message. Until further notice, the last day for message collection is January 30th. Time to pollinate, bees! Spread the word about this post! Also, join my Beyonce` Facebook fan community at facebook.com/beyoncesbeehive. :) Proud of her baby bump at MTV VMA's. Emotionally moved and excited to hear about Beyonce's pregnancy (click the photo to read about the official announcement), I wrote this brief letter and I wanted to share it with you all, my fellow happy bees. ;) Below the letter is a HILARIOUS and cute video of bees reacting to Beyonce's baby bump reveal. To My “Big Sister” Beyonce`: When Destiny’s Child’s 1st single, “No, No, No” was released, I was 12 years old. Mesmerized, I thought “if that’s what 16 looks like, let me hurry up and get there.” Ever since then, Destiny’s Child was the standard of how I should look and behave within the next four years of my life. Some parents might have been concerned about their child having that type of mentality about public figures, but mine didn’t because I picked up on nothing but positive things-- to carry myself with poise and elegance and know that I am a capable, beautiful, intelligent, resilient and powerful force to be reckoned with and I should never expect less than the best from and for myself. I’ve learned so much from you and the ladies of Destiny’s Child, it’s almost like you all are my “big sisters”; right there leading the way and advising me of what’s ahead. And like a little sister, I squirm when I hear you talk about sex (I still can’t listen to “T-Shirt” from Destiny Fulfilled lol) and feel very protective when I hear about your romantic relationships. Beyonce`, as I’ve watched you mature as a person and artist, I’ve matured, and even though I’m an adult, you are STILL my hero. Sometimes it brings tears to my eyes to watch you perform these days; I have such vivid memories of the young lady you were years ago, it’s awe-inspiring to behold your development. The precious 16 year old on a swing in the “No, No, No” video is all grown up. I’m so proud of all that you’ve achieved and I’m happy to hear about your pregnancy. Congratulations. “BeeBee,” as I like to call you, is having a baby :) As you go into this next phase of your life, I hope that you will continue to share your experiences and life lessons with me and all of your other “little sisters.” Love You Sis, Jasmine Did you hear them singing countdown at the end? "I'm tryna' make us 3, from that 2, he' still the 1." LOL!! Love it!
I posted this video here because I believe it applies to Beyonce's fan-base. Do you guys agree with what I said? Kelly's Racy Vibe Cover (Aug/Sept 2011) So I’m pissed. Instead of “Here I Am,” the album should be called “Here’s My Vagina.” I feel that with this album, Kelly Rowland has skanked herself out; over-sexualizing her image and sound to sell records. On the deluxe edition, 5 out of 12 tracks are infused with sexual content. The lyrics aren’t explicit enough for the album to be slapped with a “parental advisory” label, but bold enough to where you can’t play them in front of a 12-year old. The rest of the album is basic R&B/Dance. Like any other K.Row fan, I’m ready for her to have her moment in the sun with platinum records and spectacular tours, but at what expense? I much rather see her never have a hit single again, than for her to rise to stardom with songs like “Motivation” and “Lay it On Me” and compromise her art. I’m debating on purchasing her album. On one hand, I want to contribute to her sales so that she won’t have another low-selling record. On the other hand, I don’t want to communicate to her or her record label that this material is acceptable. What do you guys think? Should I buy the album?
