That's shocking that he said that. One of my first thoughts was, 'wait a sec, I use birth control and I'm MARRIED.' Not everyone using it is promiscuous. I think I would understand if insurance didn't cover it since it was my decision to get married. Some of the people paying for it wouldn't be ppl that needed it. I guess the same could be said of childless couples paying taxes to support public schools though. Where I would make an exception with regard to taxes and insurance is when a person has a religious reason for not supporting it. I don't think people who are Catholic should be required to pay for other people's birth control since it would violate their conscience. Nor do I believe taxes from religious pro-lifers should be used to fund Planned Parenthood. We should not take away the religious freedom of some just to make things a bit more affordable for others.
