I'm going to make this short and sweet. So with the rising popularity of Republican election candidates, political media suggest that there's a high chance Obama will not have a second term. Many have complained that Obama just isn't getting the job done and a new president is the answer. None of the problems Obama has to tackle happened overnight, so they're not going to get fixed overnight. If we get a new president, he or she isn't going to magically fix everything in one term either. That's the real tea.

Yep. There's not going to be a quick-fix regardless. I remember the president's inaugural speech. He was so adamant about how he was going to change things. I kept thinking, "oh dear, don't promise them too much." The president doesn't really have that much power. A lot of it has to do with what Congress decides. Another thing people usually forget is that the U.S. has always been in debt, ever since it was first established. Even though some of what happened during Bush's presidency may have made the economy worse (9/11, hurricane Katrina, etc.), the national debt has always been pretty awful. It's more than any one person, even a president, can handle.

@Crystal: actually, Obama was criticized because his inaugural speech was viewed as "grim" and focusing too much on the problems that were bound to get worse. I think in his speech he made it abudantly clear it wasn't going to be an easy ride.

AMEN! A new President will NOT fix anything any faster. They just want a Republican so they can have their way!

It all points back to racial politics in America. We can't give a biracial (BLACK & white) President two terms to better this corrupted nation but we allowed a white man to have a go at further ruining the nation. I'm so over this bullshit about President Obama being incompetent. At the end of the day the decision is up to America. There are tons more voting citizens that relate to Mr. President and First Lady Obama than there are that relate to the nonchalant, conservative, arrogance of Presidents such as Bush, Reagan, and Nixon. He will prevail.

Things are only getting worse. Twice there were scares that the military might go unpaid for a month. I wish we had a better line up this time than we do. None of these guys seem too impressive. I don't think things could improve much regardless of whether he gets reelected or not. He adds to the debt, just like the next guy will, and the one after that
